Between Two Stones

The belts are powered by a water wheel. They are turning the giant stones that mill the grain. The process is visible from the start till the hush-puppies are ready to eat. There is a light bulb hanging from the ceiling. It is powered by magic.

Sometimes it takes magic for power. Good shot.
Hi Ellie, Thanks for your visit and for telling me this shot was from the NC Fairgrounds. I didn’t realize that. To answer your question, my header is from January 2009 snow. However, I’ll be changing it soon after I take shots from the January 2010 snow which is falling as I type. I’ve actually already taken some night time snow shots tonight but I’ll wait until I see what I get over the next few days.
I hope the snow will stick til tomorrow, because my boys are really excited about the snow and have big plans to play with it.
The man in the background adds the finishing touch.
Cool and interesting. (I had to look up “hush puppies” though;)
A fine photo of an old process still being used.
Great one!
Very cool, and I could sure go for a hush puppy right now.
Into every cooking process a little magic should fall. Great photo and explanation.
Lovely shot!
