NRSC, shame on you! Support Christine O’Donnell!

The National Republican Senatorial Committee refused to fund the Tea Party darling in Delaware Christine O’Donnell, who kicked out of office the establishment Republican Castle in the state primary yesterday.

This was the ugliest decision the Republican elite could have made.

When folks donate to the NRSC they expect them to fight for every senatorial candidate. They should not discriminate between the glamorous former CEO lady and the woman who struggled through home foreclosure.

People expect the NRSC to support all senatorial candidates that folks moved forward in legitimate Republican primaries. It is not the Republican’s elite who decides who is worthy to be Senator and who is not – it is the voters in the primaries.

It doesn’t matter if it is O’Donnell, Alvin Green, Charley Wrangle or Barack Obama: it is voters who have a say, not some politburo.

The Republicans fight united for the tax-cuts for the rich, but the Republican elite would not support their senatorial candidate because she experienced how it feels to get bankrupt paying for college education. She knows how it feels to default on mortgage.  But the NRSC is only supporting fancy-shmancy Castle-like candidates?

The people in Delaware have spoken. All year long we hear the Republicans lecture us on state rights and power to the local communities. It is time for the Republican elite to walk the walk shoulder to shoulder with Christine O’Donnell because ‘we the people’ said so.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee refuses to support not just O’Donnel but all the thousands of folks that voted for her hoping she will represent them in Congress. The NRSC is betraying the republican primary voters in Delaware. Shame on you!

I hope that while I am writing this post the NRSC is reversing their decision.

  • tarpon:

This has told us more about how the good old boys club works than anything else.

  • I totally agree. They just support each other. Such a stupid decision!

  • bulldawg:

These Morons had better come out today and support her or they won’t get another dime from me. Screw the good ole boy crap I want my country back. They spread their crap about her not paying her bills she uses campaign money for her rent etc, mean while half of Washington don’t pay their taxes, half of them can’t get a credit card or half are under investigation for one thing or another. Enough of these idiots I am done.

  • bulldawg,I agree, the Washington DC crowd is the last group of people who is allowed to teach the folks on morals.

How about asking the thousands of college graduates and all the people that cannot get a job in the Obama recession: how are you repaying your student loans? Ask them: how are you paying your mortgages?

Are we living in America where you are not allowed to run for office if you ever had financial difficulties? That will leave only the rich folks running.

  • We won! Here is the statement of the NRSC:
“Let there be no mistake: The National Republican Senatorial Committee – and I personally as the committee’s chairman – strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine O’Donnell in Delaware.

“I reached out to Christine this morning, and as I have conveyed to all of our nominees, I offered her my personal congratulations and let her know that she has our support. This support includes a check for $42,000 – the maximum allowable donation that we have provided to all of our nominees – which the NRSC will send to her campaign today.”

“We remain committed to holding Democrat nominee New Castle County Executive Chris Coons accountable this November, as we inform voters about his record of driving his county to the brink of bankruptcy and supporting his party’s reckless spending policies in Washington…”

  • TabMcCoy:

These Rino’s don’t want to support the Tea Party, but they sure expect us to support them.I say to hell with them, its better to lose and start a new party than to keep putting these globalist Rhino’s back in office. They have sure shown their true colors, especially Rove.Let us see how big a party the Rino’s have without us.Give your money to the candidate of your choice, not the GOP.

  • TabMcCoy, I agree, this is a bad perception GOP left from yesterday.

People who donate will likely have individual approach. Folks are free to do this.

However there are benefits to contribute to GOP because many conservative and republican candidates will not have the kind of publicity Christine O’Donnell had. Either way the folks know best.
