Can't recall how I found you now.. seems it was a comment about something political (I know, go figure!). Anyway, I want you to know I follow you on Twitter and enjoy your viewpoint and fresh eyes/mind on just about everything I have seen from you.

Thank you for taking time away from your family to provide a much needed fresh perspective to so many issues.

People have not been "Taxed Enough Already". They've been paid too little.

As I describe at "Data on Income & Tax Distributions" www.exponentialimprovement.com/cms/wealthhappens.shtml#inc&taxdist/, "conservative" policies have been very effective at depressing wages. That's the problem. Compensation has not kept pace with productivity. In 2004 compensation would have been 68% higher had compensation growth kept up with productivity growth.

So-called "conservative" economic policies have put the path dependence dynamic on steroids as I describe at the link above.

The U.S. economy is in trouble because the depressed wages increased borrowing, which is now over as so many have lost their jobs and given the Fed-created housing bubble has burst. Consumer demand has collapsed and there will be no investment in the absence of demand no matter how much taxes are reduced for corporations and the wealthy.

This must be reversed. Some say federal wages should be lowered as they have not been similarly depressed by "conservative" manipulation. The "conservative" "command & control" of the economy must stop in order that private wages increase.

On "command & control", see "Why Fed policy is biased and manipulative" at http://www.exponentialimprovement.com/cms/consdia.shtml#10/.

The PJ O'Rourke quote is so true! I thing that many of us born in the USA really do not appreciate the system we have, it is merely assumed. Your perspective is important as you understand a lack of freedom from where you have been. You appreciate this country because of the opportunity as well as its freedom.

Many people do not mind paying taxes, but want to see true value for those. Alas, governments don't produce anything, so costs and value are alien to their mindset. the treasure of this country is the freedom of speech, the right to hold and speak as you see fit. America needs more of you!
